E-fit of assault suspect

Police have issued an e-fit after an elderly couple were violently assaulted by intruders brandishing a machete.
POLICE have released an e-fit of a man wanted in connection with a violent assault with a machete in which two men barged into the home of an elderly couple.
The Birch Avenue, Chadderton householders were watching TV on January 6 when the doorbell rang and the attackers forced their way in. The 70-year-old husband was punched repeatedly.
The intruders demanded to know if they had a safe.
The woman (69) ran out screaming and the attackers ran off.
The man in the e-fit is black, about 6ft 2in, well-built and in his mid-20s, with prominent eyebrows and a large nose. He was wearing a dark grey woollen hat with a black scarf around his face.
The second man, also black, was about 5ft 8in tall, slim and in his mid-20s, and was wearing dark clothing and carrying a stainless steel machete with a walnut handle.
