SEIZED: the cannabis plants discovered at a house in Royton
CANNABIS plants worth £30,000 have been seized from a house in Royton.
Officers from Oldham’s Organised Crime Unit raided the property in Rochdale Road at around 8am yesterday and discovered 64 plants in the cellar. The electricity supply had been bypassed to the address to power the cannabis farm.
Electricity North-West was called to cut the power to the property due to the risk of fire.
A 36-year-old man has been arrested and charged with production of cannabis and abstracting electricity
