SETBACK . . . Lee Crabtree
A BUSINESS owner has been left stunned after thieves broke into his industrial unit and made off with £5,500 worth of tools and equipment.
Lee Crabtree, who owns Sunshine Blinds of Trent Mill Industrial Estate, Shaw, said: “anything that wasn’t nailed down was taken.”
He added: “I had cash hidden and I don’t know how they found it. They’ve searched everywhere.
“I’ve been struggling recently but things were just starting to improve and now this has happened.
“I’ve been behind on things and trying to catch up. It’s a big setback.”
Mr Crabtree received a call about the break-in on Sunday morning. Shutters were raised and the door forced before the unit was ransacked and TVs, drills, computers, wages cash, cameras and even three ofLee’s uncle’s guitars taken.
Police are investigating. Anyone with information should call officers on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800-555 111.
