Police arrest man over shooting spree

A 40-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested over three shooting incidents in Chadderton and North Manchester.
The first happened shortly before 7.15pm on Wednesday in Colindale Avenue, Blackley when a shotgun was fired. Witnesses described seeing two men with their faces covered fire at the house.
Late the same night police were called to Moston Lane East in Chadderton after reports that the home had been damaged. POlice a shotgun blast had hit the front door. One offender was described as wearing a white hooded top with white shorts, the second - who carried the gun - was wearing a black hooded top and black shorts.
On Thursday night an address in Kilmaine Avenue, Blackley was damaged by a shotgun blast. Witnesses reported seeing a black car driving away. No one was injured during any of the incidents.
The man has been arrested on suspicion of firearms-related offences and remains in police custody.
