Pamela Kay - with overflowing recycling bin
A CHADDERTON woman is furious that recycliing bin of bottles, cans and plastics has been left unemptied since early July.
Pamela Kay (49), of St Austell Place, has seen cans and bottles pile up - because bin men told her they didn;t have the right key to get into the bin storage area. Other bins have been empited, though.
Pam has now been forced to fill her black bin with bottles and cans to have them collected.
“It’s been like this since the start of July,” she said. “I’ve no idea why they haven’t emptied it. They told me they didn’t have the key but they were going in there and emptying the other bins. It’s the same excuse every time.”
Oldham Council said they hadn’t been made aware of a problem: “We are going to empty the bin and replace it, because it’s broken.”
