Stamp of approval for library scheme
Date published: 12 February 2016
KEEN readers frustrated at not being able to find their chosen book at the local library now have a wider book pool to swim in...
Oldham and six other Greater Manchester library networks have set up a shared online catalogue, giving library members access to 2.8 million books and other library items.
Oldhames can search for specific books in any of the participating collections
Manchester, Bolton, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport and Trafford have all joined Oldham in the shared scheme, and Tameside Council will join later this year.
The only proviso is that when a book is borrowed it must be returned to the same place.
