Hobson Street car park - to be demolished
OLDHAM Town Centre’s Hobson Street car park will be demolished and replaced with a new 100-space surface car park
The stricture has been closed since December 2014 following the discovery of serious structural defects.
High repair costs meant restoring the car park - built in 1969 - wasn’t a consideration. Councillors have accepted a tender to demolish the existing building and build the new surface car park.
