A MAN suffered serious leg injuries after he was crushed between two cars following a crash in Hollins.
Firefighters from nearby Hollins Fire Station dashed to the scene at around 1.10pm yesterday after "hearing a bang" which is believed to have been a motorist hitting parked cars outside shops on Trough Gate, off Hollins Road.
Green Watch manager Andy Turner said he understood one of the stationary vehicles then rolled into a man, believed to be from the Ocean Palace takeaway, who was unloading items from the boot of his car, and causing injuries to both legs.
The road was closed in both directions for several hours. The collision was between a blue Mazda RX8 and a red Toyota Auris.
Fire crews attended for around an hour until ambulance and police arrived and he was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary. A passing nurse is also believed to have assisted.
GMP confirmed the 40-year-old man has possibly life-changing injuries.
