Tom Bebbington and girlfriend were assaulted and suffered a broken ankle each.
POLICE have issued CCTV of a brutal robbery that left a couple with broken ankles.
As reported in the Chronicle, Tom Bebbington (45) and girlfriend Emma Roughley (43) were attacked on Huddersfield Road, Oldham, on July 4 at around 12.20am as they walked to their home in Equitable Street from the Junction Inn.
They were approached by a group of youths - boys and girls - who forced them to the ground and assaulted them before stealing their mobile phones and wallets.
The couple were taken to Royal Oldham Hospital where Tom was treated for a bleed on the brain and a broken right ankle. Emma had to have pins and plates fitted in her left ankle.
The shocking CCTV footage shows one attacker sneak behind her, pull her to the ground and stamp on her face.
