House fire dog saved

FIREFIGHTERS rescued a dog from a fire in Austerlands yesterday afternoon.
Crews from Oldham and Chadderton attended the blaze in a utility room of a detached property at North Nook shortly before 3pm.
Crews rescued the dog from the house and used a hose reel, breathing apparatus and a ventilation fan to put out the blaze.
A woman was also given oxygen therapy and was assessed at the scene by paramedics.
