Mendy is made for City - Hod

FORMER England and Tottenham manager Glenn Hoddle has urged Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola to take a look at exciting young French defender Benjamin Mendy.
Left-back Mendy (22) has starred throughout Monaco's epic run to the Champions League semi-finals this season, and Hoddle - a former Monaco player - believes he would be a perfect solution to the Blues' continuing full-back issues.
Hoddle said: "'I think you'd have to watch Mendy a lot of times defensively.
"Going forward, he's outstanding. If you want that in your team and you're not worried about defence, he's made for City."
Meanwhile, Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez is believed to be in talks with City to try to sign two of their players - Fernando and Eliaquim Mangala.
Both arrived at the Etihad Stadium with big reputations, but both have fallen out of favour.
City will be looking to consolidate a place in the Premier League top four when Leicester City visit the Etihad tomorrow.
