IT was good to see City get back to winning ways with a straightforward 3-0 win against West Brom.

The tempo was good from the off, and to create 40-odd goalscoring opportunities throughout the game was a phenomenal feat, really.

Even if West Brom had kept 11 players on the pitch I still feel City would have won comfortably.

It’s another three points and the goal difference column was boosted, so let’s see how City can build on that when they resume after the international break at Crystal Palace on Easter Monday.

There was a lot of talk after the West Brom game about the referee appearing to send off the wrong player again. It’s crazy. Referees have a tough job, but when are we going to give them a lift by using some modern technology?

We need it desperately. They use it in lots of other high-profile sports, so why not in the biggest sport of all? These wrong decisions are becoming more and more costly — and the officials need to have the chance to see them again.

We’ve seen, in other sports like cricket, that it takes only a few seconds to look and get things right.

There have been a few howlers lately, but the biggest one of all was Frank Lampard’s goal that wasn’t given in the World Cup in South Africa. That was the most unbelievable example I think anyone has ever seen.
