Vardy v Aguero in title crunch clash

HAD anyone suggested at the start of the season that tomorrow’s game between Manchester City and Leicester would have a huge bearing on the league title, they would have been ridiculed.
But, amazingly, that’s where we stand at this pivotal stage of the season. Leicester has defied all logic to climb to the top of English football.
Tomorrow is the Foxes’ acid test. An away game at second-placed Manchester City is as hard as it gets for a Leicester team that shows no sign of flagging in battle. Tuesday’s 2-0 victory over Liverpool was sublime and star striker Jamie Vardy scored one of the goals of the season.
Vardy and strike partner Riyad Mahrez will fancy their chances against a creaky City defence desperately missing captain Vincent Kompany.
City have their own ace striker in Premier League player of the month Sergio Aguero, who has been in great form since coming back from injury, scoring the winning goal at Sunderland, producing the header which clinched a Capital One Cup final place at the expense of Everton, and netting twice in a 2-2 draw at West Ham. Aguero will be only too aware just how high the stakes are tomorrow.
