Two points to go for title tilt

FOOTBALL:

CHADDERTON FC Juniors under-16s are within touching distance of the Tameside and District Junior Junior League title after they beat nearest rivals Dukinfield Youth 4-1.

A goal down after only 10 seconds, they hit back with a Mike Taylor brace and strikes from Michael Clune and Tom Shaw. Two points from their last two games will guarantee them top spot.

The under-12s had Ndaba Ndebele and James Larty on target against Heyside Juniors, but their goals were in vain as they went down 3-2.


CHADDY End under-13s went nap against Moston JFC Blues in the Tameside and District Junior League.

Dylan Skinner (two), Lewis Henderson (two) and Charlie Burton were on the mark in a 5-0 win.

But the under-15s, despite goals from Zak Porter (two) and JJ Rigby, went down 6-3 to Romley Vipers.

And the under-16s were beaten 2-1 by Manchester Gregorians. Curtis Ingham scored Chaddy’s consolation.


HEYSIDE JFC under-12s succumbed 9-2 against NJ Wythenshawe. Joe Linehan and Joe Fagan were Heyside’s marksmen.


JORDAN Holt (two), Lewis Hughes, Devaughn Bridge and Liam Kelly were on target for Moston Brook under-15s in a decisive 5-1 defeat of Failsworth Dynamos in the Rochdale and Oldham Youth League.


GOALS from Harry Jackson and Callum Mazynczenko were in vain as Chaddy End under-15s were beaten 4-2 by Heywood Rangers.


CROMPTON Villa under-13s were too good for Shawclough.

Harry Southern (two), Jack Johnson (two), Callum McEvilly (two) and Chris May got the goals in the 7-2 triumph.

However, this was followed by a 3-0 away defeat at the hands of unbeaten Shaw Stars.


KYLE Townsend hit a hat-trick for Heyside Juniors under-15s in a 5-0 defeat of Copper Pot. Anthony Moores and Jordan Cooper got the other goals.


North Bury Junior League
DANIEL Randle was the hat-trick hero for Chaddy Hoppers Blue under-13s against Little Lever in the North Bury Junior League.

Elliott Moss and Zac Douglas were also on the mark in the 5-3 defeat.

But under-13s Red, despite efforts from Josh O’Donnell (two) and Josh Riley, were beaten 5-3 by Roach Dynamos in their final league game of the season.


CHADDERTON Park under-11s made it 12 wins from 12 games with an impressive 6-1 defeat of Chaddy Hoppers Red.

Mears, Hunter at the double
RHEMA Mears and Courtney Hunter scored two goals apiece for ROCS under-15s in a 4-1 win over Heyside Angels in the North Manchester Girls League Cup.

But the under-13s paid the penalty for wasting a glut of chances as they were beaten 6-2 by Chadderton Park. Abby Bennett and Alys Wild scored for ROCS.


UPPERMILL Rockettes, holders of the under-14s League Cup, were held to a 2-2 draw by Heyside Clarets.

Heyside raced ahead with two quickfire goals from Beth Mellor, before Jayme Butler-Jones replied before the break.

Megan Ashton cut inside to rifle home the equaliser in the second half.


LAUREN Fallon and Laura Garlick scored for Oldham Athletic under-12s, who picked up a point in a 2-2 draw against Uppermill.

The under-13s lost 6-3 to Denton — Lydia Tunstall, Jessica Bevan and Lauren Ainsworth scored the consolation goals — and the under-14s were beaten 4-0 by Heyside Angels Blues.

But the under-16s, who had Shelby Newton, Nicole Scott and Vicky Connor on the mark, defeated Moston Juniors 3-2.


ANTONIA Keogh (two) and Ellie Morrison scored for Heyside Angels Blues under-11s in a 3-1 defeat of Glossop North End.

The Whites, with goals from Ella Rigby (two), Lavinia Whitehead (two), Emily Kay and Katy Halligan, swept aside Droylsden 6-1.

Angels Inter under-12s had Tanisha Williams and Georgia Lowe on the scoresheet in a 2-0 win over Failsworth Dynamos, and Ella Milovanovic bagged four goals for the Clarets, who defeated Roach Dynamos 5-0. Casey Stretton got the other.

Angels under-13s, with efforts from Alix Sephton, Natalie Giblin and Natalie Gregory, overcame Droylsden 3-1, and Kayleigh Larkin (two), Leoni Harland and Paige Rowland weighed in with the Angels Blues under-14s goals in a 4-0 victory over Oldham Athletic.
