Oldham road collision leaves 23-year-old motorcyclist in critical condition

Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit have appealed to the public for information following a serious road traffic collision in Oldham.

At around 4.15pm yesterday (Sunday), officers were called to reports of a serious collision on Whitby Road in Oldham.

It is believed that a motorcycle was travelling south along Whitby Road and collided with a car that was turning into April Close.

Emergency services attended the scene and took the rider, a 23-year-old man to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

No arrests have been made at this stage, and the driver of the vehicle is assisting the police with their enquiries. 

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident - or may have dashcam, CCTV or mobile footage from the area at the time of the incident - to please share it with officers to assist their enquiries.
