SCUNTHORPE boss Graham Alexander says that his side's previous defeat to Athletic will have no bearing on tomorrow's clash.
Since the 2-0 loss at SportsDirect.com Park, Alexander's side have responded by winning four matches out of the next five - the only defeat being a 3-1 reverse at Charlton in the FA Cup.
The Iron's form is such that they are now six points clear of the play-off places and, should they maintain their current form right up until May, are on course to collect 100 points.
"It is irrelevant and we just want the three points," Alexander told the Scunthorpe Telegraph, in reference to the loss at Athletic, one of only two in the league so far.
"We want to be beat everybody for no reason apart from the three points. I don't go for revenge and all that sort of stuff.
"I have been in the game long enough to know that you come up against clubs all the time.
"The motivation for me is to constantly win the three points for yourself and that is the only approach we will be going into the game with."
