CARL Winchester poised to leave Athletic
ATHLETIC midfielder Carl Winchester is on the verge of joining League Two Cheltenham Town after reportedly agreeing an 18-month deal with the Robins.
Belfast-born Winchester has been largely out of favour at SportsDirect.com Park this season.
Since signing for Athletic as a 16-year-old in 2010, he has made 89 league starts for the club, along with a further 31 as a substitute, scoring eight times.
He was spotted handing his shirt to a travelling Athletic fan last night after the 2-0 Checkatrade Trophy defeat at Mansfield.
