A BUMPER crowd tonight can have a knock-on effect for attendances in the remaining 10 home matches in Sky Bet League One.
That is the view of Athletic manager John Sheridan (pictured), who hopes his side can put on a good show against Peterborough in the free-entry game in order to entice supporters back in the months to come.
"It is always better when you are playing in front of a decent crowd. I imagine it will be a good atmosphere with the free entry," said Sheridan.
"Hopefully, we can give them something to shout about and they will go home happy.
"The more supporters, the better for me and I hope we can put on a good performance and entice them back."
So far, fans have picked up approaching 5,000 free tickets for tonight's crucial league clash.
