Taylor set for landmark 300th outing

CHRIS Taylor is set to make his 300th appearance for Athletic tomorrow.

The on-loan Bolton winger (right), now 30, will hit the landmark figure should he play a part in the derby clash against Rochdale.

Former Athletic trainee Taylor has yet to find the net for his home-town club so far this season, but in terms of his overall career, is only four short of the 50-goal mark.

Tomorrow's game is the last at SportsDirect.com Park of his loan spell. The Springhead star still has another year of his current deal to run at the Macron Stadium.

"Of course, I would happily stay here longer, but it is hard to talk about when I still have a contract left at Bolton," Taylor told the Chronicle when asked about his future last month. "I love it here and the lads have been fantastic."
