Are you made of the write stuff?

THE Chronicle has teamed up with Oldham Athletic to find the best young sports writers in town.

As part of the Football League’s Fans of the Future scheme, we are inviting children aged 14 and under to send us their Latics match reports – and win a great prize.

The best reports will be published in the Chronicle and on the Latics website, while one lucky writer will receive extra-special treatment at Boundary Park.

They will be invited, along with up to two family members, to a VIP day out including match tickets in the directors’ box, access to the boardroom and an on-pitch presentation of a signed Athletic shirt.

And that’s not all . . the winning entry will go forward to the Fans of the Future Junior Reporter final.

This is a national contest and if our youngster is chosen ahead of children representing other League One clubs, they will receive a VIP day out at the Wembley play-off final in May.

To enter, write a match report of up to 300 words for an Athletic game at Boundary Park.

Our judge will be the Chronicle’s Latics correspondent, Michael Yarwood, and the closing date is Monday, November 10. Please remember, the maximum age is 14.

Entries can be sent via email to:

michaelyarwood@oldham-chronicle.co.uk (please write ‘Fans of the Future Competition’ in the subject heading) or by post to Fans of the Future Competition, Sports Desk, Oldham Chronicle, Union Street, Oldham, OL1 1EQ.

Good luck!
