ATHLETIC are confident of selling out all the home sections of Boundary Park for their game against Leyton Orient this month.

Prices have been reduced across the board and there is a buy-one-get-one-free offer on adults tickets bought in advance.

The special prices are £10 for adults and £2 for under-16s and over-65s (the concessionary price rises to £5 at the turnstile).

Orient visit on Saturday, December 20 (3pm kick-off), and just over 8,000 seats are available to home supporters.

Chief executive Alan Hardy said: “At these prices we hope to fill the home section of the stadium pretty quickly so we advise fans to get their tickets as soon as possible.

“We realise that many people have been affected by the world financial crisis and we are trying to help everyone at a time when family finances are always stretched.”

Gates are traditionally low in the run-up to Christmas, but a family of four can watch Athletic play Orient for only £14.

Tickets are currently available to people who hold vouchers from the recent Yeovil and Scunthorpe games, but they go on open sale from Thursday.

The offer does not apply to online purchases. To take advantage of buy one get one free, supporters should visit the ticket office by December 19.

n RYAN BROOKE and Tom Eaves hit the target as Athletic’s youth team beat Rochdale in a local derby.

The Boundary Park side trailed 1-0 at half-time, but they hit back strongly to score twice in less than 10 minutes.

Man of the match was winger Phillip McGrath, making his first appearance since he picked up an ankle injury while on international duty with Northern Ireland.
