Travelling army back promotion challenge

WINDFALL . . . Athletic’s Kickz project has landed a £95,000 grant from the Football Foundation. The money will be used to fund a community project in Coldhurst for the next three years. ATHLETIC will have another bumper following in Saturday's Coca-Cola League One fixture at Huddersfield Town.
They have already sold 1,600 tickets for the match at The Galpharm Stadium, having had a 1,500 travelling army at Crewe on Boxing Day.
Athletic have a 2,600 allocation in the Pink Link Stand and fans are advised to buy tickets in advance from Boundary Park.
They are priced £20 for adults, £12 for over-60s, £10 for students and juniors and £12 for wheelchair-users, with carers free.
Athletic remind fans the Boundary Park ticket office closes at 12.30pm tomorrow and is shut on New Year's Day, but reopens at 9am on Friday.
Coach travel, which leaves at 1pm, costs £10 and bookings can be made at the Latics shop.
Next trip after Huddersfield is on Saturday, January 17, at Hereford, where Athletic have been allocated 1,694 seats behind the goal.
Tickets are available at Boundary Park priced £18.60 for adults, £8.30 for juniors aged 12 to 16, £4.40 for under-11s, £14.70 for over-60s and £14.70 for wheelchair users, with carers free.
Coach travel to Edgar Street costs £13 and it leaves Boundary Park at 10am.
FORMER Mossley striker Faz Page was at Boundary Park on Sunday as part of the Carlisle United backroom staff for the game against Athletic.
Page, who lives in Stretford, has had an osteopath practice in Chorlton for the last 12 years.
He spends two days a week at Carlisle as well as doing other work for Rochdale.
