ATHLETIC were reunited with their former physio Alex Moreno at Huddersfield.
Moreno is spending three weeks at The Galpharm Stadium as caretaker physio while Dave Buckby recovers from a hip operation.
Moreno, who rowed for Gibraltar at the 1986 Commonwealth Games, joined Town after leaving Athletic, but quit football five years ago to open a private practice in Penistone.
“When I was asked to take over I looked to see which fixtures I would be at Town for, and was pleasantly surprised when I saw Latics was one of them,” he said.
STEVE Black, Huddersfield Town’s new performance coach, has a fascinating background.
A former Newcastle United junior, Black was also a schools’ sprint champion, power-lifter, boxer and bouncer. He has also dabbled in acting and writing.
Black is best known, however, for being personal coach, mentor and friend of rugby union star Jonny Wilkinson.
Indeed, the pair have joined forces to write a book, “Tackling Life - Striving For Perfection”, in which the 2003 World Cup winner tells of his transition from a tortured soul to optimistic philosopher, despite the catalogue of injuries he has suffered since that triumph.
Black has also worked with the British Lions and Wales RU teams, world-title winning boxer Glenn McCrory and Olympic triple jump gold medallist Jonathan Edwards.
