FANS HAVE THEIR SAY

JOHN SHERIDAN: Under fire.
TONY BUGBY’S weekly look behind the scenes at Boundary Park
PERHAPS the Belle Vue episode explains the poor performance on Saturday - and the absence of Chris Taylor.
All the players involved should make a public apology and the club should offer a refund for the fans who had to endure the abysmal performance on Saturday.
Time, and time again this season, Sheridan has promised “it won’t happen again” and week after week, we see the same old rubbish.
I have been a Latics fans for longer than I care to remember, and my faith in the club has never faltered, but my patience is wearing thin, and I’m sick and tired of spending thousands of pounds every year following the Team (home and away) only to be left disillusioned .
I have never been one for booing the team or individual players, but on Saturday I stayed behind to so my disgust and boo the players off the pitch.
What chance do we have when the players are fighting among themselves and the club captain is involved in an incident with a team mate, and the manager has a fight with the leading scorer

Oh dear. You could tell on Saturday Shez had lost the dressing room and then he rants on GM Radio the players should take the rap!
Well Shez, you are the boss and your team was a disgrace on Saturday, plus now this national embarrassment. Shez out, Dowie or Ritchie in for 9 games. Come on Corney, be strong. Up the Blues!
ACCRINGTON BLUE
some of the senior players should be ashamed of themselves. But probably nothing will come of it and we will just carry on for the rest of this very inconsistent season and miss out on the play-offs again through the stupidity of some of our senior players.
R MAUDE
I THINK the owners should take a hold of the club and sack the people responsible for gross misconduct no matter who they are.
This club is falling apart at the seams. Changes have to be made —it makes plain it is the players running the club and not the management.
To be honest its getting to a stage were I am ashamed to call myself an Oldham supporter.
OLDHAM SCOTLAND
AT the very time when the club and players should be pulling together we see that they are doing exactly the opposite. Get your act together, right from the top to bottom.
If not, well you know what’s going to happen - another season in the doldrums while Milton Keynes Dons and others march on to better things.
DAVEWARBY
AN absolute embarrassment - I’m Sheridan’s biggest fan but giving the players two days off when they had a massive game against Colchester on Saturday is too much. A total lack of respect
The manager keeps saying he’s not afraid to make changes — yet the only changes he is making is swapping the younger lads about (Eardley, Smalley, Jones, Golbourne, Fleming etc).
No bottle whatsoever in that dressing room, from both the management and so-called ‘experienced’ players.

MORE drink-related stories. Sheridan needs to go and a new manager brought in.
We need discipline and letting your players get hammered after a poor performance the day before is not good enough.
LIBERTINE
I CAN’T see how Sheridan’s position can be tenable after yet another disaster. We are in complete freefall so we will see this week if the owners are serious about getting us out of this division and if they have got the bottle to do what they should.
What utter rubbish we saw again. Sheridan has lost the dressing room big time, we have known that for a while.
After Tuesday’s disgraceful behaviour all involved should get the sack and the first on the list for the owners should be Sheridan.
MARK JACQUES
PATHETIC. Sheridan is ultimately responsible, no discipline. Gregan, the club captain, was arrested for drink driving on his way to training! Although he was suspended for the next game a few hours later, what message does that send out.
Give them the boot, Mr Hardy, it’s appalling.
PETERBOROUGH BLUE
HAVING been renamed “Loaned ‘em Athletic” its now time to face up to reality. They will be overhauled for a place in the play-offs, probably by Leeds, and it’s no more than they deserve.
Rubbish over-the-hill loan signings have not shown the manager to be very aware in the market. Go now before it’s too late.
OLDHAMEX
WHAT is going on? The tail is wagging the dog. Discipline is down to Sheridan but the players don’t seem to listen to him on or off the pitch. What a pity the likes of Gregan and Hughes cannot show the same fight on the pitch.
The only shots on target these days are the ones in the foot. Get rid.
BELIEVE YOU ME
YET again we have a problem with players who should know better. Get rid.
WATCHER
RECENT relegation-standard performances suggest that for the third season running a strong league position is being thrown away.
The Belle Vue incident suggests that the attitude of players and management is all wrong.
The owners should act now, before it is too late.
RONCASS
FINE those involved and move on. The bigger picture is promotion, but I am not convinced the current management team have the tools.
Granted we have been in the top 6 or 7 all season, but we lack consistency, we forget how to pass to each other and how to tackle, but its when we play the lesser teams, it seems we cannot motivate ourselves. That is a management issue.
NDL
Sheridan needs to go.
LEGOBOY
TAKE the matter up at the end of the season. Oldham still have a lot to play for. I hope you get your squad pulling together, but I’m sure a lot worse happens in many other clubs.
This town needs to cheer up, so get behind them, you’re not facing relegation, you could still get to Wembley.
KEEFEY
...and just one in favour
WE were there. Blown out of all proportion. Embellished by the press as usual. Two players were out of order, the rest were great. Don’t tar them all with the same brush.
