Imagine Fergie in a Rooney headlock!

Latics fans continue to have their say over the team’s less edifying recent antics...

CAN you imagine Wayne Rooney having Sir Flex Ferguson in a headlock? Think not!

After what happened with Athletic you could be forgiven for starting to think that John Sheridan has no control and discipline over his squad.

It’s all right him saying it’s his first job in management, but he has been at the helm for long enough to realise this is not a valid excuse anymore.

With Sheridan not disciplining his squad sufficiently it has resulted in conflict and diabolical performances on the football pitch, with no desire to win.

Although we have supported the Latics for many years we wonder if we can now carry on what with the terrible standard of football being played and the disgraceful acts of drunkeness that we hear about in the newspaper.

WE would just like to put on record our frustration and disappointment about the actions of some of our “so-called” senior professionals.

We would like to place these question to Mr Sheridan. Why were our players allowed to go binge drinking before a club function? Does Mr Sheridan think this behaviour breeds confidence for the core fans who pay their hard-earned cash every week, especially in the current global crisis?

Speaking on behalf of all dedicated Latics fans we hope “the Battle of Belle Vue” is not the Titanic moment in our promotion season.

J&S - TO THE REGIMENT

AFTER the defeat to Colchester and the reported fracas at Belle Vue it was a disgrace on the pitch and a disgrace off it.

BAZANOLD

I’VE been watching Latics for many years and I`d like to think Shez is doing an okay job on a shoestring budget at Boundary Park at the moment.

But if Latics fans think they can gain promotion this season they are looking through rose-tinted glasses and that’s to put it mildly.

For a start, I think they are in a false position in the league. If it wasn’t for their early-season form they would be below mid table and in a relegation dog fight.

Since mid-January, Latics have lacked any cutting edge or leadership and in the last couple of weeks have looked nothing but clueless.

Okay, they have won the odd away game here and there, but they need to do it week in week out to have a realistic chance of going up.

The games I`ve attended this season have been nothing short of lacklustre and boring. And, with a three-sided ground, the atmosphere is low key. Some of us are paying £20 to watch overrated garbage.

I think Latics are on a downward spiral and will be playing League One action again next season against Bury and Rochdale.

If they want bums on seats, just take a look at Bradford City`s policy of half-price season tickets plus reduced admission prices on match days. The have 12 to 14,000 at every home game.

PINK PANTHER

ANOTHER season of bizarre loan signings, ignoring home-grown talent and hoping overpaid has-beens can motivate themselves, let alone the younger players.

With indiscipline thrown in, no wonder Latics are on a downward spiral.
