After being on the short list for Coca-Cola League One’s community club of the year, Athletic have earned the Football League’s silver standard.
Last year, Athletic became one of 60 community programmes to be awarded the bronze standard.
Dean Grice, regional manager for the Football League, said: “The award reflects the positive work Oldham Athletic does in the community.
“It shows how far the club has come in a short time that they have been awarded both the bronze and silver standards.
Trust manager Colin Moore said: “The award shows the dedication shown by the team and our commitment to place Oldham Athletic at the heart of communities across the borough.”
