LOCAL volunteers collected awards for all their hard work in football over the last year.
The winners of the Oldham Football Awards were presented before Athletic’s home game against Swindon Town.
Each year, Oldham Athletic Community Trust, and partners, show their appreciation for those individuals and clubs in football who excel within the borough.
The awards come from the Oldham Football Forum, run in partnership by Oldham Athletic Community Trust, Oldham Council, Oldham Community Leisure and Manchester County FA.
Among the winners were:
3D Dynamos (club of the year); Val Broadbent (3D Dynamos and Oldham Sunday League, administrator of the year), Markus Uhlig (Uppermill, volunteer of the year), Peter Tupman (Lancs and Cheshire League, match official of the year), Matt Moulter (Uppermill, coach of the year), Stephen Reilly and Billy Fletcher (Springhead, joint young person of the year), Steve Grice (Heyside Juniors, Martin Buckley award), Springhead and Chadderton Park clubs (recognition of achieving Community Charter Standard).
Athletic’s chief executive, Alan Hardy, is pictured with the winners - and mascot Chaddy the Owl.
