ATHLETIC’S management and players pose with Heyside’s youngsters.
YOUNGSTERS from Heyside Juniors under-9s had an afternoon to remember at Boundary Park.
They were put through their paces at Athletic’s Little Wembley training ground by manager Dave Penney, his assistant Martin Gray and first-team players Chris Taylor, Rob Purdie and Joe Jacobson.
The event was set up by Graham Moore from Swedish furniture manufacturers Kinnarps.
They sponsor Heyside, who were last season’s mini soccer team of the year in the Manchester League.
Chief executive Alan Hardy said Athletic enjoyed a close relationship with Heyside Juniors through the Boundary Park club’s community programme.
