Forest target Sheehan

ATHLETIC are in danger of losing Alan Sheehan, who has just kicked off the second month of a loan from Leeds.
Championship club Nottingham Forest are understood to be keen to sign the 23-year-old left-back (below).
Sheehan, who has impressed during his time at Boundary Park, has apparently caught the eye of Forest manager Billy Davies.
Leeds have a 24-hour recall clause in the current loan deal so Athletic could lose the popular Sheehan with little warning, though they say they have received no word about the loan ending early.
Forest could then take Sheehan, who Leeds are looking to sell, on a three-month loan before signing him permanently when the transfer window reopens in January.
Sheehan was recruited by Athletic because of their left-back injury crisis as Joe Jacobson, Rob Purdie and Paul Black were all ruled out at one stage.
Former Eire under-21 international Sheehan has become a big hit at Boundary Park and scored a stunning goal in last Tuesday’s home win against MK Dons.
