TEENAGERS Josh Ollerenshaw and Liam Dawson have been sent out to non-league Silsden to gain experience.
Goalkeeper Ollerenshaw (right) has been on the substitutes bench 14 times as a non-playing reserve goalkeeper for the first team this season, while defender Dawson was previously loaned to UniBond League side Nantwich Town.
Both made debuts against Bacup Borough last night for the Vodkat North-West Counties League side, who play at the home ground of rugby league club Keighley Cougars.
ATHLETIC ground staff are confident that the Walsall game will beat the freeze.
The predicted temperatures of as low as minus 12C have failed to materialise so far and though there has been a heavy frost at Boundary Park, Athletic have borrowed frost covers from Manchester City to make a double layer of protection from the elements.
The surface under the covers is said to be in perfect condition at present.
