LATICS ROUND UP: JOE Royle and Andy Ritchie are guest speakers at a charity sportsman’s dinner tomorrow night at Delph Club, Gartside Street, in aid of Heart UK.
There are still tickets left and they can be obtained by contacting Darren Royle on 07590 949981.
LEE Clark paid tribute to the strong efforts of Athletic in making life very difficult for play-off contenders Huddersfield.
Speaking after his team had recorded a 2-0 win, the Town manager said: “It’s all about winning, and I’m delighted by that, but I’ll also let the players know that type of performance isn’t good enough.
“The scoreline can’t be allowed to paper over the cracks and in all honesty, Oldham can count themselves unlucky because they were probably the better team.”
THERE were interested spectators with links to both Athletic and Huddersfield Town present at the Galpharm Stadium on Tuesday night.
Former players Paul Futcher and Tony Carss were in the crowd of over 14,000, as was Sean Jarvis, former marketing boss at Boundary Park who now works in a similar role at Huddersfield.
