TOM Eaves has signed a five-year deal with Athletic, ending speculation he was about the leave the club.
The 18-year-old was left out of the squad to travel to face Yeovil last week by then-manager Dave Penney due to his not agreeing terms with the club over his first professional contract.
The 6ft 5in striker told the club website: “I am happy to have signed the contract and can’t wait for pre-season to start.
“I am delighted the club has had the confidence to give me a five-year contract and I will be looking to progress further.”
