Lee awaits contract verdict

KIERAN LEE . . . impressive end to the season for Athletic.

KIERAN LEE, who forced his way into the Athletic first team during the later stages of the season, is one of 11 players whose future is under discussion.

The full-back/midfielder’s contract, like those of his 10 colleagues, will run out this summer.

The others are Paul Black, Ryan Brooke, Liam Dawson, Tamas Floszman, Ferenc Fodor, Michael McKerr, Philip Ojapah, Josh Ollerenshaw, Chris Rowney and Rene Steer.

The majority of players on that list are likely to be released, with Athletic set to trim down the squad size as a result of a reduced budget for next season.
