Hardy eyes ’Dale switch

ATHLETIC chief executive Alan Hardy was happy with how the fixtures panned out but wants to move the home game with Rochdale back by 24 hours.
He said: “The police rate is double time on a Bank Holiday. Clubs have a week after the fixtures are announced to try to make amendments, so the
Rochdale match is one we will look at.
“Our first home game, against Notts County, looks a good one. I’m sure it will generate a lot of interest. They’ve just been promoted and Mr Hughes is in the squad!
“By the looks of it our fans won’t have to do a lot of midweek travelling, which is good, although the New Year’s Day journey to Hartlepool isn’t ideal.
“I don’t think Exeter supporters will be too pleased with the prospect of coming all the way up here on a Tuesday night, but every club would change things given the chance.”
