Gregan to miss two friendlies
Date published: 06 July 2010
DEFENDER Sean Gregan is undergoing treatment for slight ligament damage and will miss the first two friendlies, against Barrow on Saturday and Burnley on Monday, in the build-up to the new npower League One campaign.
The vastly-experienced centre-back felt discomfort in his Achilles while out running in the week leading up to the start of pre-season training.
Gregan (36) reported back with the rest of Dickov’s squad on June 28, but was put on light duties after reporting his concerns.
The former Leeds and Preston man was sent for a precautionary scan, and the results have shown damage to the hamstring.
Under-16s will gain free entry for the game against Championship outfit Burnley on Monday (kick-off 7.30pm). Adults will be charged £10, with OAPs £5.
Burnley fans will be situated in the large section of the Leesfield Development Stand, while home supporters will have access to the Detect All Chaddy End Stand and the Main Stand.
Season-ticket holders can get in free by using the voucher in their books for one of the three warm-up fixtures at Boundary. The other two home games are against Wigan (July 20, 7.45pm) and Preston (July 27, 7.30pm).
