Shrews manager makes promise

SHREWSBURY won’t try to bludgeon their way to victory at Boundary Park tonight.
The npower League Two club arrive for their Johnstone’s Paint Trophy first round tie (7.45pm kick-off) with a reputation for playing an attractive game.
New Shrews manager Graham Turner, who replaced Paul Simpson in the summer, believes his side are well capable of playing good football en route to success.
“We have to win games and I believe the best way of doing that is the way we are playing,” the Town boss said.
“If I felt that knocking it long and running after it was the way forward, then that is what we would do.
“But I think in this day and age, you can pass the ball to victories and pass the ball to promotion.”
Former Athletic defender Dean Holden is currently on loan at Ronnie Moore’s Rotherham United.
Athletic boss Paul Dickov names a similar squad to that for the Yeovil game at the weekend.
The only changes are the return of centre-back Jason Jarrett from suspension and the loss of striker Warren Feeney, who is away on international duty with Northern Ireland.
IF the game is level at the end of 90 minutes tonight, the tie will go straight to penalties.
