Strike force options set for boost

ATHLETIC could soon have a fully-functioning new striker on their hands.
Paul Dickov has only made one appearance so far this season, but the player-manager could soon be ready to throw himself into the fray as he gets over niggling injuries.
To get into the starting line-up, though, he would first have to replace one of Oumare Tounkara and Chris Taylor.
“I am training better now and getting fitter,” said Dickov. “Oumare has been fantastic for us. He is a kid who is learning the game all the time and that is only his eighth game at any level.
“He is a bit rusty and raw at times, but he will get better and better.
“Chris Taylor was excellent again against Sheffield Wednesday. We put him in that position on Saturday and he was even better here.
“As for me getting back in the picture, we will have to wait and see.”
