Os find solace in cup competitions

LEYTON Orient's season so far has been a mixed bag.
Managed by former Brighton boss Russell Slade, the Os have secured victories away at last year's play-off finalists Swindon and at npower League One leaders Brighton — though those wins were gained in the Carling Cup and Johnstone's Paint Trophy respectively.
Saturday’s visitors to Boundary Park, who finished one point and one place behind Athletic in League One last season, have had some poor results in their current league campaign.
Only one win in the last five matches has arrived, with a goal from 36-year-old striker Scott McGleish enough to see off the challenge of struggling Brentford last Saturday.
The Brentford win hauled Orient off the bottom of League One and Slade will hope that further confidence will have been gained from the goalless draw at home to fellow strugglers Walsall.
Orient have the joint-worst away record in the division, with only one point — from a 1-1 draw at Southampton — to show from four matches played.
