Evina joins Latics on loan

CEDRIC Evina has signed for Athletic on a month's loan.

An Arsenal player, the 18-year-old is comfortable at either left-back or on the left of midfield and made his first showing for the club in the behind-closed doors friendly against Grimsby today.

Evina was born in Cameroon but has lived in London since the age of nine and was last season's youth team captain for the Gunners.

Should he impress, there is a chance the deal could be extended to keep Evina at Boundary Park for a longer period.
