Athletic losses growing

ATHLETIC have posted a loss of £1.524 million for the year ended December 2009.

That is over £1m more than the £414,000 deficit posted the previous year, according to accounts filed at Companies House.

Turnover was down to £3.26m as matchday and commercial income fell by £277,000.

Operating losses for the year were £1.227m, compared with £1.012m the previous year, and an exceptional write-off of £550,000, relating to the planning application for the development of Boundary Park, resulted in the overall £1.524m.
