THIS is what you are missing: Chris O’Grady has a point to prove.
CHRIS O'Grady feels he has a point to prove against Athletic next Tuesday.
The 24-year-old striker had an unhappy spell at Boundary Park after signing from Rotherham and made only 17 appearances — six were from the start — without finding the net.
During his time under contract with Athletic, the Nottingham-born striker had periods on loan at Bury, Bradford, Stockport and finally Rochdale.
And it was at Spotland where O'Grady finally found his feet, scoring 22 times last season for Keith Hill's men as Dale achieved promotion.
In the process, he bagged himself a transfer for a near six-figure sum.
"The Oldham supporters didn't really see me play too much," said O'Grady, who has scored four goals this season including one in Saturday's 3-2 home win against Dagenham.
"I just wasn't part of the manager's plans. I'm looking forward to crossing swords with Oldham and perhaps showing them what they are missing."
AROUND 2,200 tickets have been bought by Athletic fans for the derby showdown.
There are still 1,000 to be snapped up at the Athletic ticket office. Fans must buy in advance to gain entry to the all-ticket fixture — £20 adults, £14 over-65s and those 19 and under.
