Wrong house Neal: won’t go to the wrong dug out again
NEAL Trotman caused quite a stir at Spotland — even though he didn't get onto the pitch.
The centre-back arrived back at Athletic on loan from Preston last week and was named by boss Paul Dickov as a substitute.
On finishing a warm-up run down the touchline, the 23-year-old went to take his seat among the substitutes in the dug-out.
Only it was the wrong dug-out!
“I haven’t stopped hearing about it since,” said Trotman, whose antics drew plenty of laughter from the Athletic bench.
“Rochdale wear the same training bibs as us and, in fairness, I didn’t really recognise all the faces of our lads.
“It was very embarrassing and I will make sure not to make the same mistake again!”
