SNOW didn't stop play: Latics players train undercover
ATHLETIC’S training sessions were hit — like everything else — by this week’s snowy weather.
But manager Paul Dickov managed to get his squad on to synthetic surfaces – such as Sports City in Rochdale — to go through their paces. Some players even took to the swimming pool.
Dickov said: "It is a bit disruptive, but we do what we can. The lads were in the gym on Monday and it was quite funny. Some of them joined in with an aqua aerobics session — proving that they have no rhythm whatsoever!
"On Tuesday we trained indoors and yesterday as well. It’s not ideal, but a lot of clubs just go to the gym whereas we want to get as much football into the boys as possible."
