Race is on to break the ice
Date published: 09 December 2010
ATHLETIC are hard at work clearing snow from the Boundary Park pitch in a bid to save Saturday's home fixture with Swindon.
A snow covering had been left alone in order to insulate the pitch.
Now the hope is that warmer temperatures will melt the remaining ice underneath.
Athletic have appealed for fans to go to the ground with shovels in order to help with the snow-clearing.
