Club eager to hang on to trio

FILIPE Morais, Cedric Evina and Aidy White are three players Athletic hope to retain for the rest of the season.

A permanent offer has been put to Morais’ agent and the club are still waiting on whether the 25-year-old winger — currently on non-contract terms — will accept it.

Arsenal man Evina completes a three-month loan spell in the middle of next month and borrowed Leeds player White is at Boundary Park until early January.

“Both players are happy here and want to stay, but on the flip side, if they are doing well then perhaps their clubs may want to recall them,” said Dickov.

“Filipe loves it here and hopefully we are close to sorting something out.

“I believe Filipe will be a very good player for us.”
