Mvoto blow for Latics
Date published: 14 January 2011
DEFENDER Jean-Yves Mvoto’s loan deal has been terminated after it was revealed he will be out for several months because of ankle ligament damage.
Mvoto, who had struck up a good partnership with Reuben Hazell in the centre of defence, was hurt in the recent derby clash against Rochdale at Boundary Park. He has returned to Sunderland for treatment.
Meanwhile, Jason Jarrett and Dean Kelly have been released by the club.
Athletic have not offered Jarrett a new deal after his short-term contract came to an end, while striker Kelly, who made 15 appearances for the club, wants to return to his native Ireland to be with his wife and children.
