ATHLETIC reserves’ game against Morecambe at Kendal Town was called off last night due to a waterlogged pitch.
New signing Medi Abalimba was due to play, as were triallists Callum O’Connor, of Blackburn Rovers, former Preston player Simon Whalley, and Euan Holden, who has left Danish side Vejle Boldklub, and is the brother of Bolton star Stuart Holden.
