Jarvis excited by derby-day buzz

FORMER Athletic marketing director Sean Jarvis is looking forward to that rarest of beasts — a game between two local rivals in npower League One.

"We are not blessed with many derbies in this division, so there is a buzz about this game," said Jarvis, who is now commercial manager at Huddersfield Town.

"Looking at what Paul Dickov and his team have done so far this season, they have really set the cat among the pigeons.

“I don't think that many outsiders thought Oldham would be much more than a mid-table side this season, but they have proven themselves to be far more than that.

"I am sure thousands will come across from Oldham and we are expecting a bumper crowd.

“It has the makings of a great game."
