Injury concern over Morais
Date published: 04 April 2011
FILIPE Morais is the main injury worry following Athletic’s morale-boosting 2-0 win at Notts County.
The tricky winger was forced off the Meadow Lane field after 38 minutes,
sustaining a painful knock to his hip which may require a precautionary x-ray.
The three points took Athletic to the half-century mark in npower League One and a determined manager Paul Dickov paid tribute to the near-500 fans who travelled to Nottingham to support the team.
“The fans here again were fantastic and the fans at home have been fantastic," Dickov said.
“We have six games left and we really want to finish the season on a high.
“That is two games unbeaten, so let’s go another six. It will be hard, but we have to take the confidence and belief from the game and kick on.
“I am not taking my foot off the pedal, the coaching staff aren’t and we’ll make sure the players don’t.”
