REUBEN Hazell is struggling with a knee problem, which could leave the door ajar for James Tarkowski at Yeovil tomorrow.

Skipper Hazell has been named in Athletic’s initial squad, but it remains to be seen whether he is fit enough to start.

Athletic assistant Gerry Taggart, a centre-back by trade, believes Athletic have unearthed a gem in the 18-year-old defender.

“Tarky is a player we have high hopes of in the future,” he said.

“He has missed a lot of football through injury in the last couple of years so to come back in his first six to eight months back and be a regular in the first-team squad is testament to him and his drive.

“He is someone we are really looking to kick on next season.”

Midfielder Jason Lowe (ankle) and winger Filipe Morais (hip) could both return for the visit to Huish Park after being named in the travelling party, while there was also a place on the coach for second-year scholar Connor Hughes.

Yeovil boss Terry Skiverton is urging his side to win and reach 53 points.

"We are not taking our foot off of the gas because if you look at our goal difference it is terrible," he said.
